Acqua due hanging lamp by Cini&Nils
Acqua is a luminous cascade that creates an evocative pattern of light and shade. Made in modules that join together, it can be used to create all sorts of custom configurations. Indoor suspension fixtures with LEDs and dimmers for direct and indirect lighting.
Acqua is a suspension lamp for direct and/or indirect light designed to be used also near or parallel to the wall. Designed to be used alone or in series, the ceiling rose can be fitted with one, two or three ultra-low voltage cables and the same number of luminaires.
Each rose can be customised to take the installation of up to ten lighting bodies that can be positioned wherever you like, using a connector that enables the modules to be added and shifted very practically from one row to another. The cables are fitted with micro adjustments for calibrating the height and the direction of every row, so as to point the light both from the front and from the rear. If the luminaire is needed at a point that does not correspond directly with the point of installation, you can choose either the “remote rose” and “cable track” accessories or a relocated installation version. The lighting body is also sold singly to expand the composition
Cini&Nils was established in 1969, when two designers began to feel the need to offer their projects directly to themarket. A variety of products were developed by the combined efforts of Mario Melocchi and Franco Bettonica, many of which have since been acquired by the New York Museum of Moedern Art. Luta Bettonica and Luca Melocchi joined the company at a later stage, the former as a designer and art director, the latter as a manager and co-designer. Marco Pedersoli is reponsible for engineering all Cini&Nils luminaires.
In the seventies, Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi applied their creativity to lighting technology, designing the Cuboluce in 1972, the link in the chain between décor accessories and light fittings.
