Cuboled is the logical further development of the Cuboluce Classic table lamp. Not only the simple handling has remained, but also the design. Opening the cube automatically activates the LED, closing it deactivates it again. A magical LED box.
The big change is inside the lamp. Equipped with an LED, the table lamp can also be put into operation while lying down as there is no more heat build-up. Often used as a reading light in bed, Cuboled can now also be left to children. The LED has an extremely long lifespan and is insensitive to vibrations.
Cini&Nils - lights for eternity
From 1969 onwards, Cini & Nils developed numerous objects, a large number of which are now exhibited in the New York Museum of Modern Art, such as the bar, table and desk collections, the rotating magazine rack, the "Cubobar" or the card game table. In the 1970s Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi were active in the field of lighting technology, and in 1972 Cuboluce, the link between the Cini&Nils everyday objects and lights, was created.
The award-winning design is still convincing - only a cube can be so timeless. The Museum of Modern Art still appreciates this to this day, and so this ultimate design object by Cini&Nils has gone down in the history of lighting.
Cini&Nils was established in 1969, when two designers began to feel the need to offer their projects directly to themarket. A variety of products were developed by the combined efforts of Mario Melocchi and Franco Bettonica, many of which have since been acquired by the New York Museum of Moedern Art. Luta Bettonica and Luca Melocchi joined the company at a later stage, the former as a designer and art director, the latter as a manager and co-designer. Marco Pedersoli is reponsible for engineering all Cini&Nils luminaires.
In the seventies, Franco Bettonica and Mario Melocchi applied their creativity to lighting technology, designing the Cuboluce in 1972, the link in the chain between décor accessories and light fittings.
